Founded in 2008 in the misty highlands of Nueva Suiza, Finca Sophia sits at more than 2100 meters, making it one of the highest farms in Panama. Once a rugged cattle and vegetable farm, it has been transformed into a premier Geisha estate through ecological restoration, shade planting, and precise high-altitude farming. The extreme elevation slows cherry maturation, creating coffees with vibrant fruit character, floral elegance, and remarkable structure.
In the 2025 Best of Panama, the La Roca lot earned 94.88 points and placed 3rd in the Geisha Natural category. We were honored to secure this rare lot at US$5105/kg. The cup is refined and expressive, offering layers of ripe fruit and delicate florals that showcases the beauty of Geisha grown at the very limits of elevation.
