BlendIn Coffee Club roasts and serves specialty coffee across the Houston area. We were recently named to the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list. We are looking for a Wholesale Manager to build our wholesale program into a curated, high-touch platform. The goal is to connect our coffee with the best cafes, restaurants, and hospitality partners in Texas and beyond.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will manage existing accounts. You will also find and develop new partners who present our coffee at the level it deserves. You will own the relationship from first contact through onboarding and long-term growth. This is a chance to shape a program from the ground up.
The ideal candidate knows specialty coffee deeply. You build relationships with ease. You can advise on everything from coffee selection to cafe buildouts and equipment. You know how to grow the right partnerships. You also know when a partnership is not the right fit.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT AND RELATIONSHIPS
Act as the main point of contact for all wholesale accounts.
Provide attentive, high-touch service.
Learn each account's business, customers, and daily operations.
Run regular account reviews. Track satisfaction. Spot growth opportunities.
Train partners on our coffees, brewing parameters, and quality standards.
Visit accounts to build trust, solve problems, and find new opportunities.
Manage order communication end to end for a smooth experience.
Respond quickly to questions and resolve issues with care.
STRATEGIC ACCOUNT DEVELOPMENT
Curate the wholesale portfolio. Focus on partners who share our standards.
Grow strong accounts. Step back from those that no longer fit our direction.
Target the best cafes, restaurants, and hospitality groups, locally and beyond.
Set clear criteria for new partners based on quality and brand fit.
Plan and run outreach to prospective accounts.
Represent BlendIn at trade shows and within the specialty coffee community.
COFFEE AND TECHNICAL CONSULTING
Advise on coffee selection, menu design, and brewing specs.
Consult on cafe buildouts, equipment, workflow, and efficiency.
Recommend and support equipment sales when it makes sense.
Run training on coffee prep, quality control, and best practices.
Stay current on trends, equipment, and the wider market.
Help partners fix quality issues and improve their coffee programs.
SYSTEMS AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
Build systems for account management, order tracking, and communication.
Maintain a CRM to track interactions, opportunities, and account health.
Create onboarding processes, training materials, and quality standards.
Set metrics for account performance and program success.
Report on wholesale performance, opportunities, and trends.
Refine the program over time based on feedback and results.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND SALES
Find, qualify, and develop new business in target markets.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to onboarding.
Build and deliver clear sales presentations and proposals.
Keep an active pipeline of qualified leads.
Develop pricing and partnership terms with ownership.
Coordinate shipping and fulfillment, including international orders.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years in specialty coffee. This can be roasting, cafe operations, sales, or a related field.
A track record in sales and account management, ideally in coffee or premium food and beverage.
Strong grasp of coffee quality, processing, origin, and preparation.
Experience with cafe operations, equipment, and workflow design.
A history of building long-term customer relationships.
Comfort managing complex, consultative sales cycles.
Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing systems from several makers.
Ability to design cafe layouts and recommend equipment packages.
Understanding of logistics, supply chain, and international shipping.
Comfort with CRM systems, Google Workspace, and order management tools.
Clear written and verbal communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Financial sense for pricing, negotiation, and modeling.
