
BlendIn Coffee Club is looking for a highly capable and self driven General Manager to lead café operations, develop staff, and uphold our commitment to exceptional hospitality. This role requires excellent judgment, proactive thinking, and the ability to manage a team with clarity, consistency, and accountability.
We are not looking for someone who simply keeps the shop running day to day. We are looking for a leader who understands operations, anticipates issues before they happen, and builds systems that allow the café to run smoothly without constant oversight.
Operations Leadership
• Oversee daily café operations with strong attention to detail
• Ensure the shop opens and closes on time
• Build workflows, checklists, and systems that prevent issues rather than react to them
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, bar workflow, and guest experience
• Monitor and improve operational efficiency, product quality, and labor control
Decision Making and Judgment
• Make thoughtful, timely decisions with clear reasoning
• Evaluate risks such as weather, traffic patterns, equipment issues, and staffing gaps
• Communicate decisions clearly with rationale and actionable steps
• Manage issues in real time, not after the fact
Staff Management
• Lead, coach, and develop baristas and shift leads
• Enforce accountability consistently across the team
• Maintain and update SOPs and training workflows
• Address performance issues promptly with clear expectations and follow up
Guest Experience
• Uphold BlendIn’s hospitality standards and brand identity
• Respond to customer feedback with appropriate corrective action
• Create a consistent environment for guests across all shifts
Inventory and Vendor Management
• Oversee ordering, par levels, waste control, and inventory accuracy
• Manage vendor communication and scheduling
• Understand cost management and prevent avoidable shortages or overstock
Equipment and Facilities
• Monitor the condition of café equipment and coordinate timely repairs
• Understand basic causes of equipment failures and preventative actions
• Manage vendor technicians and follow up until issues are resolved
Reporting and Communication
• Provide clear, structured communication
• Communicate in a way that unifies the team
• Escalate critical issues with recommendations and solutions
Operational Leadership
• Minimum 2 years café or restaurant management experience
• Proven ability to manage a team of baristas in a fast paced environment
• Strong understanding of specialty coffee operations
Judgment and Critical Thinking
• Ability to think ahead, anticipate risks, and plan proactively
• Can explain decisions clearly, including options considered and the reasoning behind choices
• Comfortable making operational decisions without constant supervision
Systems and Accountability
• Ability to build, enforce, and refine operational systems
• Experience implementing checklists, SOPs, and performance processes
• Strong follow through on tasks and timelines
Communication
• Clear, calm, professional communication in writing and in person
• Ability to deliver coaching, correction, and expectations respectfully
• Ability to align the team around guest experience and company values

• Experience with Square POS
• Familiarity with equipment repair workflows
• Experience running staff trainings
Previous coffee experience in specialty coffee is necessary. Previous management experience in specialty coffee is preferred. Training will be provided to all team members. A current food manager permit is compulsory. Shifts vary between 6:00 am and 6:30 pm. We are continuously looking for talented people who are passionate about coffee.
