SCA CSP Brewing Foundation course a full-day course is designed to introduce core brewing skills and equipment to people with no previous brewing experience. Students should be able to grind and brew to the correct recipe to produce great coffee.

In this course you will learn:

    1. Extraction
    2. Strength
    3. Water to coffee ration
    4. Grind size
    5. Water contact time
    6. Water temperature
    7. Turbulence
    8. Water quality
  2. Ways to change the brew
    1. Filter method
    2. Pressure
    3. Coffee storage
    4. Cleaning
    5. Hotplate holding and the effect on flavour
  3. Brewing methods and equipment
    1. Different categories of brewing methods: Immersion, gravity and pressure
    2. A range of different equipment used for brewing coffee

If you register for the course less than 7 days prior to the course date then cancel, you will not be eligible for a refund.

If the cancellation is processed no later than 7 days prior to the course date, the full course fee will be refunded, minus a refund fee of $50.

Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the course date are not eligible for a refund.
